It is the concessionaire for the new high-speed (HS) railway line between Spain and France. A bi-national Hispano-French project that will connect the two countries with the same international gauge (UIC) for the very first time. The company's head office is located in Llers, Spain. It is a bi-national company owned 50/50 by the Spanish business group ACS and the French civil works Group Eiffage. The concession contract was awarded to the company in February 2004 by the kingdom of Spain and the French Republic. The infrastructure consists of 44.4 kilometers of double-track HS railway line between Llers and Le Soler (Near Figueres and Perpignan, respectively), divided as follows: in France, an open-air double-track section, 17.26 kilometers long, from the beginning of the concession at Le Soler (km 0+000) to the entrance to the Pertús tunnel; a double-tube croos-border tunnel, 8.3 kilometers long (Pertús tunnel); in Spain, an open air double-track section, 18.85 kilometers long, from the tunnel exit to the end of the concession at Llers (km 44+353); and two bi-directional conventional single tracks (2,9 + 4,6 kilometers) linking to the French railwaynetwork at Le Soler. Its objective the design, financing, build, maintenance and operation of the new high-speed railway line between figuere and Perpignan for a period of 53 years.
